3. Justification in the curriculum, relation to other subjects and to the profession
This subject contributes to the training of Primary School Teachers-to-be. It is related to the area of “Social Science” teaching, which appears in the curricular framework current, in which it is established and in compliance with the basic curriculum in Primary Schools, with all other disciplines that study people as social beings and their reality in their own geographical, sociological, economic and historical aspects.
The subject is included in the curriculum of the Degree in Primary Education as General Training in the Block 1.2 Teaching and Specific Area Requirements, within the module 1.2.1. Teaching and Learning of Experimental Sciences and Social Sciences

8. Evaluation criteria and Grading System

According to art. 4 of the UCLM Student Evaluation Regulations, it must be provided to students who cannot regularly attend face-to-face training activities the passing of the subject, having the right (art. 12.2) to be globally graded, in 2 annual calls per subject , an ordinary and an extraordinary one (evaluating 100% of the competences).
Evaluation criteria for the final exam:

Continuous assessment:The final mark will be the sum of the partial marks obtained in the different evaluation systems previously expressed.
It is essential to obtain 40% of the qualification (4 out of 10) to make the average between compulsory training activities applicable.
Students that don¿t follow the continuous assessment proposed will have to do, for the day of the final test, all the exercises proposed in the evaluation system and that will be detailed on virtual Moodle.
For every mistake of those included in the "List of mistakes to avoid" (see Moodle), the student will miss 0.2 points in the corresponding activity/test/presentation/exam up to a maximum of 1.6 points (8 mistakes). If the mistake is repeated, the repetition(s) will be also penalized.
*If a fraudulent practice is detected in the evaluation test carried out by a student, the exam will result into failure, with a final grade of zero (0) in the corresponding subject.
The detection by the teacher that an assignment, essay or similar test has not been prepared by the student will result in a numerical grade of zero (0) both in the tests and in the subject in which it has been detected, regardless of the rest of the grades obtained by the student.

Non-continuous evaluation:Students who opt for the non-continuous assessment system must communicate this to the teachers in the first three weeks of the course. Also, those students who have exceeded 50% of the evaluation activities through the continuous evaluation system will not be able to change into non-continuous evaluation.
For the non-continuous evaluation, students must present or defend on the day established for the final test all the exercises proposed in the evaluation systems that will be detailed in the moodle virtual platform.
*If a fraudulent practice is detected in the evaluation test carried out by a student, the exam will result into failure, with a final grade of zero (0) in the corresponding subject.
The detection by the teacher that an assignment, essay or similar test has not been prepared by the student will result in a numerical grade of zero (0) both in the tests and in the subject in which it has been detected, regardless of the rest of the grades obtained by the student.

Specifications for the resit/retake exam:
For the extraordinary exam, students, apart from the final exam, may or may not maintain the grades obtained in the continuous assessment. If they decide not to keep the grades obtained in the continuous evaluation, the student must submit all the assignments of the course.
The grade of the continuous evaluation will not be maintained for the next course.
*If a fraudulent practice is detected in the evaluation test carried out by a student, the exam will result into failure, with a final grade of zero (0) in the corresponding subject.
The detection by the teacher that an assignment, essay or similar test has not been prepared by the student will result in a numerical grade of zero (0) both in the tests and in the subject in which it has been detected, regardless of the rest of the grades obtained by the student.

The grade of the continuous evaluation will not be maintained for the next course.
