Course competences
Code Description
CB01 Prove that they have acquired and understood knowledge in a subject area that derives from general secondary education and is appropriate to a level based on advanced course books, and includes updated and cutting-edge aspects of their field of knowledge.
CE02 Capacity to promote individuals, groups and communities developtment by improving their living conditions as well as meeting social needs through professional interaction and involvement.

Course learning outcomes
Description
Identifies main groups of people attended, variety of problems and answers, and social workspaces in a diverse society.
Knows about constitutive theoretical mainstreams for Social Work as discipline.
Knows main issues of Social Work and Social Action history, as well as the current trends in Social Work.
Capable of applying values, ethical regulations and deontological codes as well as solving ethical dilemmas in a critical way when they emerge.
Understands Social Work nature in a critical way both as profession and discipline and its relation with other Social Sciences.
Recognizes differences and similarities in other caring, education and animation careers and in voluntary action.
