Course competences
Code Description
CB03 Be able to gather and process relevant information (usually within their subject area) to give opinions, including reflections on relevant social, scientific or ethical issues.
CE01 Critically analyze the relationship of society with the territory applying the conceptual and theoretical framework of geography and sustainability.
CE03 Analyze and interpret in a systemic way the demographic, rural, urban and landscape elements, understanding their involvement in the processes of sustainable territorial development.
CE05 Know and interpret landscapes and natural and cultural heritage as keys to sustainable territorial development.

5. Objectives or Learning Outcomes
Course learning outcomes
Description
Understand the changes on agrarian policies, speacially the new rural development policy
Master the methodological bases to analyse current planning on rural areas, highlighting the spatial cohesion policies
Train students in the analysis of new rural functions at different scales and contexts, envisaging how social and economic processes impact on these areas
