2. Pre-Requisites
To take the subject Criminological Report, the student must have passed the subjects Etiology of Crime, Criminological Intervention, Spatial Analysis of Crime, Legal and Forensic Psychology, Legal and Forensic Medicine I and II, Cybersecurity and Forensic Informatics.
3. Justification in the curriculum, relation to other subjects and to the profession
The Criminological Report is a fundamental subject for the professional training of the students of this degree since it offers them the theoretical and applied knowledge and the skills and abilities necessary to use the techniques and instruments of forensic evaluation typical of the criminological field. Specifically, this subject trains students and enables them to advise on the making of judicial and present decisions, at the time of oral and post-sentencing proceedings (in addition to the execution phase). In the same way, it also enables political-criminal, police and socio-community decision-making, while the generation of expert reports (not only forensic) is a basic aspect of the profession (e.g., local security audits). You should also train to advise other professionals in the legal world in the development of defense/prosecution strategies. Finally, you must train to prepare and defend expert and forensic reports in the different criminological areas.

According to art. 4 of the UCLM Student Evaluation Regulations, it must be provided to students who cannot regularly attend face-to-face training activities the passing of the subject, having the right (art. 12.2) to be globally graded, in 2 annual calls per subject , an ordinary and an extraordinary one (evaluating 100% of the competences).
Evaluation criteria for the final exam:

Continuous assessment:The final test consists of the elaboration (50%) and defense (20%) of a Criminological Report on a case proposed by the teaching staff responsible for the subject. In the continuous assessment, the cases that will be resolved during the theoretical sessions of the subject (30%) are also evaluated, and a document must be delivered at the end of the theoretical sessions containing the resolution to them.
To pass the subject, the student must pass both blocks independently; in such a way that only when the "Final test" has been passed will the part corresponding to the "Assessment of problem solving and/or case studies" be added, which must also be passed.
The final grade will correspond to the sum of the scores of the different tests weighted by their overall value (% of the overall grade). To pass the subject, the final grade must be equal to or greater than 5. -
Non-continuous evaluation:The student may be evaluated through the non-continuous evaluation provided that they have not participated during the class period in evaluable activities that together account for at least 50% of the total evaluation of the subject.
The students who opt for this form of evaluation must be examined in the final exam of the block "Assessment of problem solving and/or case studies" (30%).
To pass the subject, the student must pass both blocks independently; in such a way that only when the "Final test" has been passed will the part corresponding to the "Assessment of problem solving and/or case studies" be added, which must also be passed.
The final grade will correspond to the sum of the scores of the different tests weighted by their overall value (% of the overall grade). To pass the subject, the final grade must be equal to or greater than 5.
Specifications for the resit/retake exam:
The resit exam does not present differences with respect to the ordinary one.
Specifications for the second resit / retake exam:
The retake exam will consist of an oral exam on the contents covered in the subject.
