2. Pre-Requisites

It is highly advisable to have passed the subject of Anatomophysiology because it is necessary to have acquired knowledge of the morphology and functioning of the human organism in order to be able to understand the anomalies of the structure and functioning of the body.

3. Justification in the curriculum, relation to other subjects and to the profession

At the end of the course, the student will have acquired knowledge related to the physiopathological, neurological, rheumatological and traumatological human pathophysiological processes of adulthood, being able to identify problems and clinical, preventive and therapeutic aspects.

Acquire medical-surgical knowledge applicable to human beings, as well as the after-effects that different diseases can leave on people, affecting their functionality. You will acquire skills that will enable you to understand the physiopathology and aetiopathogenesis of the different human pathologies in order to be able to apply occupational therapy treatment to them.

5. Objectives or Learning Outcomes
Course learning outcomes
Description
Tour of the different pharmacological principles used in the treatment of different diseases.
Knowledge of human nature, the interrelationship between health and disease.
Knowledge of the factors and mechanisms that cause diseases.
The student must show knowledge and mastery of the competencies related to it.
The scientific bases that explain the effects of drugs and their behavior on humans.
Many nosological processes determine some degree or form of disability that will require further intervention of occupational therapy.
This subject aims for students to acquire knowledge of the etiopatogenic and pathological foundations of the main nosological entities that constitute human pathology in the different systems and organs of the child human body. Know the meaning of the different diseases, know the techniques of diagnosis and treatment of the different pathologies.
The student will acquire surgical medical knowledge applicable to the human being in childhood that will train him to apply occupational therapy treatments in the different pathologies.
Acquisition of medical vocabulary.
Know the evolutionary course of diseases. The family as part of the patient.
Familiarize students with the most common medical terminology for their future professional activity.
Know the tendency to homeostasis of the human organism, to maintain the balance of the internal environment, the alteration of said balance and the onset of the disease.
Know the methods of exploration and diagnosis of the different organic systems.
Know the medical and surgical treatments of the different diseases.
Know the main nosological entities of the different devices of the children's body.
Acquire skills for interpreting clinical reports.
This subject aims to develop skills that allow students to understand the knowledge so that they can subsequently apply occupational therapy treatment in the different processes that constitute motivation to the treatment of occupational therapy such as processes, sequelae of diseases that determine some degree or form of disability.
Learn how to interpret the reports of different healthcare professionals.

This subject aims to develop skills that allow students to understand and apply basic knowledge of pediatric diseases.
Develop constructive attitudes of cooperation, coordination and responsibility in multidisciplinary work.

The student will understand and acquire knowledge related to all the human pathological processes of childhood identifying clinical, preventive and therapeutic problems and aspects in both health and disease.
Support in the maintenance of health, such as health care and the promotion of health education.
It is also important to acquire a sufficient degree of training to achieve known aspects of the various diseases that constitute motivation to the treatment of occupational therapy.

Description
This course aims to develop skills that allow students to understand and apply basic knowledge of general pathology, medical-surgical pathology of the nervous system, connective tissue and joint diseases. This course aims for students to acquire knowledge of the etiopathogenic and pathophysiological foundations of the main nosological entities that constitute human pathology in the different systems and organs of the adult human body. To know the meaning of the different diseases, to know the techniques of diagnosis and treatment of the different pathologies. This subject aims to develop competencies that allow students to understand the knowledge to subsequently be able to apply occupational therapy treatment in the different processes that constitute motivation for occupational therapy treatment as processes, sequelae of diseases that determine some degree or form of disability. In addition, to learn about the different neurological illnesses that are most relevant to occupational therapy. To familiarise students with the most common medical terminology for their future professional activity Acquisition of medical vocabulary. Learning to interpret the reports of the different health professionals.
