According to art. 4 of the UCLM Student Evaluation Regulations, it must be provided to students who cannot regularly attend face-to-face training activities the passing of the subject, having the right (art. 12.2) to be globally graded, in 2 annual calls per subject , an ordinary and an extraordinary one (evaluating 100% of the competences).
Evaluation criteria for the final exam:
-
Continuous assessment:
The contents of this guide may be subject to modifications, which will be notified to the students, if the socio-sanitary situation due to the pandemic requires it. The main focus will be on face-to-face teaching, but it may vary to blended and/or telematic teaching depending on the socio-sanitary situation.
The evaluation will be carried out by a system of accumulation of points obtained in the exams that will take place throughout the course. The course will be passed with a minimum of 50 points out of 100.
Attendance to practicals is compulsory. Non-attendance to the practicals (F2 and F4) implies failing the course in the ordinary exam. Attendance to practicals (F2 and F4) is also compulsory for repeating students; in order to facilitate the attendance of these students, the group may be changed upon request to the professor.
The final grade will take into account the evaluation tests (60%) distributed in 2 progress tests (with PEM and PRAC), a final test (20%, PEM; 10% PRAC) and evaluation of the participation, effort and attitude of the student in the autonomous work and knowledge of the subject (it will represent a maximum of 10%, and will be added when it reaches at least 40 points/100 in the rest of the components of the final grade). The formative activities that involve resources of limited and variable availability do not have an alternative evaluation test in the extraordinary and final exams.
-
Non-continuous evaluation:
Attendance to practices is compulsory. Students will take an ordinary final exam that will account for 70% of the final grade (10% of participation is not considered). The PRAC exams will be taken together with the students with continuous evaluation (PRAC progress tests, 30%), taking into account that the training activities that involve resources of limited and variable availability do not have an alternative evaluation test in the extraordinary and final exams.
*Cap III. Art. 4. 2 b) Any student may change to the non-continuous evaluation mode, by the procedure established by the Center, provided that he/she has not participated during the period of classes in evaluable activities that together account for at least 50% of the total evaluation of the subject. If a student has reached that 50% of evaluable activities or if, in any case, the class period has ended, he/she will be considered in continuous evaluation without the possibility of changing the evaluation modality.
Specifications for the resit/retake exam:
Students who have not passed the course in the ordinary exam will be able to opt for the extraordinary exam. It will consist of a PEM exam (60%) and a PRAC (30%). In order to pass the course, a minimum of 20% PEM (one third of the 60%) and a minimum of 10% PRAC (one third of the 30%) must be achieved. The participation grade will be retained for achievement.
Specifications for the second resit / retake exam:
*The same criteria will be followed as for the extraordinary call of the previous year, as stated in the corresponding teaching guides (Art. 13.3. Student Evaluation Regulations). This call may be used by students who are in the cases indicated in the Student Evaluation Regulations currently in force (currently, Art. 13.1).
