Organic Chemistry III is included in the Fundamentals of Chemistry module in the Chemistry Degree. It is designed to develop the fundamental concepts and data of Organic Chemistry, to show the experimental evidence that supports these concepts, to apply these data and concepts to the resolution of chemical problems and to demonstrate that this subject evolves rapidly and that it plays a key role in technological developments, in very diverse fields, from biology to materials science, influencing all aspects of daily life. The subject Organic Chemistry III is compulsory and corresponds to one semester of the third year of the degree. The subject consists of 6 credits, of which 4.5 are theoretical and the remaining 1.5 are practical. The course aims to delve into the knowledge acquired in Organic Chemistry I and II, applying it to Organic Synthesis, as well as increasing their skills in the laboratory by proposing simple syntheses with applications in everyday life.
