For the exercise of the profession of Teacher in Primary Education, the LOE and the LOMCE establish (in its Article 93) that the teaching of Music must be taught by teachers with the corresponding specialization or qualification. In response to this demand, the Music Education Mention aims to offer training in this subject that will allow future teachers to develop the necessary skills for their teaching performance as a music specialist. THE MENTION of Musical Education is presented as an option for the Primary Education Degree. It is considered fundamental that both the future teacher of this stage knows the production and learning processes of music from the personal, social and cultural contexts in which boys and girls are immersed.
