"Musical creative practice" subject (4.5 credits) is one of the optional subjects that make up the Mention in Music. Together with the rest of the optional subjects in this module, it aims to develop in the student the necessary skills for planning and teaching music education in the different cycles of Primary Education.

Description
Know how to promote and develop creative musical projects, knowing resources and starting points to foster creativity in a sound environment
Know how to perform basic harmonization and instrumentation with Orff instruments
Know how to produce musical compositions with different expressive means (voice, gestures, instruments, rhythms, and movement repertoire)
Value improvisation and its creative and expressive results.
Know and use melodic, rhythmic, harmonic, formal, expressive and texture aspects in the organization of the sound discourse
Know how to use the basic techniques of different expressive media.
Know how to apply new tendencies, techniques and aesthetic mechanisms as a reference for productions
Know how to integrate the new technologies, both computer and audiovisual support, in order to elaborate didactic materials
Know how to properly interpret a didactic vocal, instrumental and movement repertoire
know how to interrelate musical aspects and other artistic manifestations
Know a wide range of contents, resources, procedures and strategies related to Music and its didactics
Know and use the main elements of conventional musical language and other means of graphic-musical representation

8. Evaluation criteria and Grading System

Final test 40.00% 40.00% Individual theoretical-practical test on the contents and proposals worked on in the course. This is a compulsory and recoverable exam.
Portfolio assessment 20.00% 20.00% Activities carried out, both individually and in groups. Students who follow the subject in the non-continuous evaluation modality will carry out all the activities individually. Portfolio is a compulsory and recoverable portfolio activity.
Assessment of active participation 20.00% 20.00% Practices and debates based on the contents worked on. These activities are compulsory and recoverable.
Oral presentations assessment 20.00% 20.00% Oral and performative presentations. Expository clarity, synthesis, technical terms and mastery of spoken language will be valued, as well as the skill of musical practice (vocal and instrumental). These activities are compulsory and recoverable.

According to art. 4 of the UCLM Student Evaluation Regulations, it must be provided to students who cannot regularly attend face-to-face training activities the passing of the subject, having the right (art. 12.2) to be globally graded, in 2 annual calls per subject , an ordinary and an extraordinary one (evaluating 100% of the competences).

Evaluation criteria for the final exam:
  • Continuous assessment:
    Students must obtain a minimum score of 4 points out of 10 in each evaluation test. The subject will be passed provided that the final mark, the result of the sum of the different tests, results in a minimum mark of 5 points out of 10.

    Since an active methodology is applied focused on the students, those students who, for justified reasons, follow the subject in the non-continuous evaluation modality must speak with the teacher during the hours set aside for tutorials and specify a work proposal that will include the Theoretical study of the documentation for each topic and an adequate plan related to the activities that allow the development of the competences included in the Teaching Guide.
  • Non-continuous evaluation:
    Students must obtain a minimum score of 4 points out of 10 in each evaluation test. The subject will be passed provided that the final mark, the result of the sum of the different tests, results in a minimum mark of 5 points out of 10.
