3. Justification in the curriculum, relation to other subjects and to the profession

The subject Activities of daily life and personal autonomy has as a general objective that students acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to adequately develop clinical interventions and occupational therapy treatments, when the patient's occupational problem or dysfunction manifests itself and is found in the performance or participation in the different occupational and daily life activities, through their evaluation, training or intervention.

G03 Promote health and prevent disability, acquire or recover the occupational performance necessary at each stage of the life cycle to achieve independence and autonomy in the areas of occupational performance of those people who suffer situations of risk, organic deficit, limitation in activity and participation and / or social marginalization.
G04 Perform an adequate treatment, respecting the different phases and basic principles, through therapeutic occupations and based on related knowledge such as the science of occupation, in the different areas of occupational performance, analyzing the performance components and the different existing environments and contexts.
G07 To know, understand and apply the fundamentals of personal autonomy in activities of daily living with and without adaptations and/or technical aids in the life cycle.
G20 Adapt and apply the Occupational Therapy process in close collaboration with individuals and the population, building capacity to intervene in advocacy, prevention and protection projects with a community and public health focus.

8. Evaluation criteria and Grading System

Final test 40.00% 100.00% Multiple-choice exam. It will consist of multiple choice multiple choice questions on the content of the course (theoretical classes).
Projects 30.00% 0.00% Work presented in class during the last week of the course. The work consists of the presentation of a prefixed clinical case based on a pathology including planning and treatment from occupational therapy.
Laboratory sessions 30.00% 0.00% Internship in class during the four-month period. The practicals consist of 4 activities mainly to be carried out throughout the four-month period, which count towards the percentage belonging to this part.

According to art. 4 of the UCLM Student Evaluation Regulations, it must be provided to students who cannot regularly attend face-to-face training activities the passing of the subject, having the right (art. 12.2) to be globally graded, in 2 annual calls per subject , an ordinary and an extraordinary one (evaluating 100% of the competences).

Evaluation criteria for the final exam:
  • Continuous assessment:
    To pass the course the final grade will be the sum of each of the parts being a requirement to obtain a minimum score of 50% between all of them.

    The practical activities will be related to the subject of the class in order to reinforce the knowledge acquired during the class.
  • Non-continuous evaluation:
    All the competences of the evaluable formative activities will be evaluated through a final test. That is to say, an alternative evaluation test to the continuous evaluation that allows to evaluate the acquisition of the same competences of the formative activities developed in the continuous evaluation.

Specifications for the resit/retake exam:
The same evaluation systems will be followed and the grades of the parts that have been passed in the ordinary exam will be kept.

Specifications for the second resit / retake exam:
In the special call of completion, the acquisition of the competences of the subject will be evaluated through a final written test (with a maximum of 10 points), which will serve as an alternative evaluation test to all the evaluable formative activities. No grade obtained in any of the evaluable activities carried out in previous calls will be kept.
