2. Pre-Requisites
As the course is taught entirely in English, it is advised that students start with at least an A2 level within the European Common Framework.
3. Justification in the curriculum, relation to other subjects and to the profession
This course tackles theoretical terms in the English language around the fields of grammar, writing devices and speaking strategies. It carries on with the projects started in the course "Inglés con Fines Académicos," specializing this time in specific methodologies to work in the areas that form the base of the Degree in Humanities and Social Sciences. Hence, the student learns to use the English language in the fields of Geography, History, and Arts. The target level is the European Reference Framework's B1.

According to art. 4 of the UCLM Student Evaluation Regulations, it must be provided to students who cannot regularly attend face-to-face training activities the passing of the subject, having the right (art. 12.2) to be globally graded, in 2 annual calls per subject , an ordinary and an extraordinary one (evaluating 100% of the competences).
Evaluation criteria for the final exam:

Continuous assessment:There will be an exam with three parts in which the student must show the ability to perform any of the tasks: formation of a text, oral presentation of a topic, and literary analysis.

Non-continuous evaluation:Students will take an exam (70%) and must hand in a portfolio with the activities done throughout the term.
