In a globalized world like the present scenario, the knowledge of the international environment is a compulsory requirement for those that will operate in the economic arena. This subect intends to offer a general overview of the major issues, the traits, problems and dynamics of the International Economics. The goal is to understand how the world economic works in a continous changing context. At the same time, the subject considers the analysis of the current problems of the international economic policy aimed at increasing the people living standard levels.
The study of the international environment is based on the economic models studied in the previos subjects: "Introduction to Economics" and "Intermediate Microeconomics". Moreover, the subject International Economics intends to interpretet the economics facts in the light of those economic models and the evolutionary dymics offered by the subject "Economic History". Additionally, the use of the data techniques studied in the subjet "Business Statistics" is required.
International Economics gives a reference framework for the study of the subject "Spanish Economics" in third course. Finally, it is the starting point to study the economic integration processes that are forming around the world with special attention to the European integration process, which will study widely in the optional subject "European Union Economics".

Continuous assessment:Ordinary call: The final exam is taken into two parts. The first part will take place in January after the first semester. The second part will be take place after the second semester in the date set in the academic calendar. Those students who passed the first part of the subject in January will only take the second part of the exam. The rest of them will take the whole exam containing the topics of the entire subject. The ongoing assessments will be summed up to the final mark when this final mark is higher than 2,8 out 7.
