In compliance with the objectives of the European Higher Education Area, the knowledge of a language is required in the university degree
abroad to a first level of independent user, level specifically related to their studies and their profession.
The university graduate will acquire the competence to be able to establish communication at a first level of independent user, related to the field of
work and study where the student is moved during the degree itineraryand at the end.
The university degree student will need to consult books, do Internet research in a foreign language or understand what is being said in a video. It will also make it easier for you to get into a exchange such as Socrates, Erasmus+, Turing, Thaith, or other mobility programs recognized by our university.
At the end of their studies programme, the graduate with specialised knowledge in a foreign language that is applied to the world of Labour and Human Resources.
The graduate will have more possibilities of finding work abroad and of enjoying mobility grants such as the Leonardo project.
Through this course the student is facilitated to continue on his own until the acquisition of the certificate of learning PET (B1), level that is required by the common European framework for learning a foreign language as necessary to obtain the degree as established by the current regulations of the UCLM.
Students who are starting the Degree in Labour Relations must have an intermediate level of English (A2-B1). Therefore, they must be familiar with the English language learning and implementing as well as the culture where it is involved. English Language I subject has as its specific objective the acquisition of skills that will allow
communicate in English in common situations within the legal world.
For this reason, topics will be discussed directly related to Anglo-Saxon legal culture, such as The English Legal System, Labor Relations, Contracts Law, British & American Political Institutions, The Crown, Parliamentary Monarchy, The Houses of Parliament, Public Relations, or The Lobby System. The subject also provides students with the acquisition of the necessary knowledge that will allow them to function in this legal culture in oral and written English language.
- Get to know and use different sources of oral information, documentaries (bibliographic repertoires, archives, etc.) and
references on the web.
- Write various types of texts in their own language (specialised and informative).
- Acquisition of specialised vocabulary and formal expressions related to legal and administrative English in this field of knowledge
- Express themselves in a foreign language (English) at an intermediate level at the five skills, using the vocabulary that is associated with the historical and artistic field of specialization of English in its proper context.
- Command of a second foreign language at level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages
- Ability to work autonomously within a framework of individual responsibility.

The Bachelor's Degree in Labour Relations and Human Resources provides a solid education, built around different knowledge and methods –history, arts, literature, geography, social anthropology, law, political science, international economics, sociology, living languages ¿¿(English) , communication and technologies, ...- that is, a multidisciplinarity that is at the origin of Human Sciences and Culture, and that is linked to the technological, computer science and modern language training necessary today, in such a way that allows an easy and convenient reorientation towards other disciplines and tools to achieve professional training in which the possession of a complete base of general legal and humanistic culture, a critical spirit, a coordinated and comprehensive vision of all disciplines and a versatile training -both theoretical and practical- in the new information and communication technologies and in languages, allowing activity they are professionals in multiple and differentiated realities. ”.
In addition, its contents are endorsed by the academic criteria of the professor of the subject, by virtue of the Principle of Academic Freedom established by the Spanish Constitution, in its Title I, Chapter 2, Section 1, Art. 20 and Letter c.
