2. Pre-Requisites

It is strongly recommended to have previously attended Labour Law courses and to have passed the Labour law exams.

Previous knowledge on European Labour Law is also strongly recommended.

3. Justification in the curriculum, relation to other subjects and to the profession

The course examines the phenomena of globalization and the impact of market internationalization on labour relations and labour law regulation.

The main issue of the course is the study of those international tools aiming at guaranteeing core labour standards to workers on global scale. It is strictly linked to student's competences and their ability to understand the global phenomena.

According to art. 4 of the UCLM Student Evaluation Regulations, it must be provided to students who cannot regularly attend face-to-face training activities the passing of the subject, having the right (art. 12.2) to be globally graded, in 2 annual calls per subject , an ordinary and an extraordinary one (evaluating 100% of the competences).

Evaluation criteria for the final exam:
  • Continuous assessment:
    The written exam consists of two parties: the resolution of a case study (text, analysis of a European/International framework agreement, resolution of a leading case) and a theoretical part with two open questions. The professor can also establish an oral exam to confirm the score.
    For students who passed the first part in the continuous assessment system, the exam consists of the development of the theoretical questions.
  • Non-continuous evaluation:
    Evaluation criteria not defined

Specifications for the resit/retake exam:
