2. Pre-Requisites

It is recommended to have passed the courses of Business Organization department in the Degree in Business Administration and Management. It is suggested having passed the subjects related to the functional areas of the organization.

Regarding the practical work, it is advisable that the students can search for information on the proposed topics, that they can interpret it correctly, that they can interpret it correctly and make a critical analysis of it, formulating a reasoned value judgment, and can synthesize this judgment in a written and oral presentation.Not established

3. Justification in the curriculum, relation to other subjects and to the profession

This course is part of module 5 Business Organization, within the subject "Strategic Management". This course deals with the management from a global perspective and a strategic approach. Starting from the relationship between a company and its environment, this approach of management makes it possible to identify the external opportunities and threats faced by companies, as well as their internal strengths and weaknesses.
Moreover, this course studies the potential of companies due to their resources and capabilities and how they should be included in the formulation of strategies in order to create sustainable competitive advantages over time.

According to art. 4 of the UCLM Student Evaluation Regulations, it must be provided to students who cannot regularly attend face-to-face training activities the passing of the subject, having the right (art. 12.2) to be globally graded, in 2 annual calls per subject , an ordinary and an extraordinary one (evaluating 100% of the competences).

Evaluation criteria for the final exam:
  • Continuous assessment:
    In order to pass the course, it is required to obtain at least a grade higher than 50% of the final exam. The grade of the continuous evaluation will only be computed if the final exam is passed.
  • Non-continuous evaluation:
    In order to pass the course, it is required to obtain at least a grade higher than 50% in the final exam.

In order to pass the course, it is required to obtain at least a grade higher than 50% of the final exam. The grades obtained in the other continuous evaluation tests will be remained.
