Course competences
Code Description
CB01 Prove that they have acquired and understood knowledge in a subject area that derives from general secondary education and is appropriate to a level based on advanced course books, and includes updated and cutting-edge aspects of their field of knowledge.
CB03 Be able to gather and process relevant information (usually within their subject area) to give opinions, including reflections on relevant social, scientific or ethical issues.
CE01 Ability to assess in a collaborative way with individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities ¿through further global and inclusive point of view¿ their needs and circumstances.
CE06 Ability to apply and integrate knowledge about human needs and social policies in the study, diagnosis, planning, intervention and program evaluation into Social Care organizations.

5. Objectives or Learning Outcomes
Course learning outcomes
Description
Knows the process of social programs planning, implementing and evaluation, the professional role of social workers in their management and their participation in public and private organizations.
Knows and understands the purpose, mechanism of action and ways of providing Social Welfare subsystems (Health, Education, income security, Housing,...) in Spain and Europe, as well as their overall structure, organization and main services and benefits at national and regional levels.
Capable of recognizing the exclusion and discrimination mechanisms in accessing to social care, and suggest ways to correct them.
Is able to Identify conflicts and restrictions regarding those subsystems with disadvantaged social groups, as well as their compensatory devices.
