5. Objectives or Learning Outcomes
Course learning outcomes
Description
Evaluate the way in which these social imbalances and inequalities impact on human relationships and generate situations of differential need, malaise, precariousness, vulnerability, segregation, marginalization and exclusion and affect the demand for social work.
Use mechanisms of identification, analysis and measurement of social problems and needs based in situations of exclusion, discrimination and oppression in which social work take part and the ways of intervention against them.
Understand and know in a critical way the main facets of social and power imbalances and inequalities and the power's ones, as well as the imbalances and inequalities of the mechanisms of discrimination and oppression based in economic and work relationships, gender relations, ethnic and cultural.
Understand and know in a critical way the main aspects of the social conflict, the mechanisms of power and authority, domination, exploitation and alienation, and the different perspectives of the social sciences on these processes and mechanisms.
Analyze the problem of personal interactions in the different social contexts and to look for improving the quality of life and wellness of people.
Analyze and evaluate the inequality and discrimination impact in the working with people in certain contexts and problematic situations.
